Tied a Palomar knot and tippet broke on tighting. All knots popped easily with slight pressure. Tippet must be old.

I thought I'd try a new brand of leader and this brand was highly recommended. I was super excited and went to attach it to my flyline but found there was no loop on it. Yes I know I can tie a loop or use a nail knot but for the newer anglers it is easier to just have the loop already on the leader and seems to be common practice by it's competitors. Otherwise the line seems good, that was my only complaint.
