As good as any case out there at a great price. I will definitely buy more.

I have several of these type of cases for storing sensitive equipment. This Flying Camel branded one is up to par with the HFT Apache cases. It includes the pluck foam and has a padded lid. I'm using it to store some handheld two-way radios that I keep in my truck. Fit and finish is up to par. If you're worried about security with packing up a firearm for air travel, than this will work as good as the "bird brand" one.

I've been looking for a Pelican-type case to carry my firearms or other items. I haven't quite decided what to put in it yet. The foam in the bottom half can be removed and/or cut to fit pretty much whatever will fit in the case. The gaskets that go around the inside definitely feel like it will keep the water out. The case itself is a nice hard, durable feeling plastic. The latches hold it securely closed, and there are two metal reinforced holes at the corners for locks.

I needed a good container to protect my Magic The Gathering cards when I went on vacation recently. I was going on a plane and I really didn't trust my thousands of dollars worth of cards to sit on the bottom of the plane (with the added hope it even made it on or off the plane!). I also didn't want them in a soft case that could result in their damage. This hard case was the perfect size to fit a good amount of my decks in. I had to remove most of the middle layer of foam, but other than that it was perfect. Has holes to add locks to it, which is another really nice feature that I appreciated. Very solid case and superb design. Freaking love this thing.

This case is very similar in appearance to the industry-standard Pelican cases. Construction is closest to Pelican’s budget line Storm cases, thought with some differences. The latch is the most obvious- this case uses what is essentially a friction held latch, as opposed to the positive locking Pelican designs. The hinge is another- this case uses a thinner diameter, partially exposed, wire pin that would be significantly easier to defeat if someone were trying to break in to a locked case. The foam liner is lower in density than the Pelican foam, but probably dense enough for the intended purpose. Overall, it’s certainly better than the majority of inexpensive Pelican clone cases I’ve seen. The proportions are a bit off for pistol transport- I’d say it’s a lot thicker than it needs to be, although the length and width are fine for the typical carry pistol. I’d hoped to use this for my Bullseye competition pistol but it’s a bit too short for that. But it turns out to be ideally sized for transporting my Yaesu FT-818 radio, and I can see it being used for all sorts of special purpose gear- electronics, cameras, telescope eyepieces, and so forth. . Overall, it’s a good value, and it’s tough enough to handle being stepped on, falling off a high shelf, and probably far more serious abuse.

I got this Flying Camel TSA Approved Hard Gun Case with Foam, Water and Shock Proof. 13.3" x 11.6" x 6" Black in recently and this is one tough case. This is my first case like this but this is very impressive. This is very solid and sturdy, the latches that close the case are thick. There’s a rubber seal around the case where is closes to keep the water and even air out. It shuts evenly, nothing is getting in or out of this case when it’s latched shut. There’s even a air valve behind the handle to release air presser when opening it. It also has two places that you can put a pad lock that is reinforced with metal. The inside has foam in it, all the foam can be removed. The foam can also be removed piece by piece so you can shape it to what your putting in the case. I shared a lot of pictures to give you a good understanding of what your getting.Overall this is one of the toughest cases I’ve ever owned. If taken care of this should last pretty much for ever.I would recommend this caseI hope this helps

This is a nicely made hard case. Look-wise it compares favorably to a Pelican case, though if I stand on the case I can see the plastic flex much more than a Pelican case would. I would not put the case to the test of driving over it with a vehicle. For most of the uses I am going to subject this case to it should be more than durable enough to keep the firearm accessories I plan to store in it safe from moisture and shocks. The latches are sturdy and click firmly into place. They are undone with a little less force than I would like, but should be sufficient. I am a little worried that the plastic on the lower case or the latch will wear with time and the latch will undo easier or not seal properly, though this has not happened to me yet in my Pelican or other inexpensive hard cases so far. The pins for the hinge are captive and operate smoothly. The captive pins in the handle are smooth operating and are not loose, this leads to the handle staying place where you leave it, whether thats in the folded down position or folded up position. The lock shackles are made of stainless steel and appear to be pressed on, I am concerned that they could come loose over time with frequent use. I do not plan on using the shackles most of the time. The bottom features feet that keep the case level and the bottom of the case up off of the surface it is set on.This case does not have an automatic pressure valve, though the thumb screw pressure relief valve should serve just fine. I live in the midwest and rarely travel where there would be much of an altitude change anyways, so not really a big deal for me. I just need to remember to check often that it is sealed to keep moisture from getting in the case. The seal is held in a channel on the lid. The seal is a nice soft rubber or polyurethane of some sort. The bottom of the case has a ridge that fits into the seal to make the case waterproof. The interior of the case is spacious and comes with pick-and-pluck foam as well as foam in the lid to secure items in the pick-and-pluck foam. If you take the foam out of the lid, there are attachment points should you want to add some sort of a panel to store items in/on the lid.Last but not least, the plastic moulding of the case is just ok. There are a few places where you can see some spots where the plastic didn't flow very uniformly during the moulding of the case. This might only be a cosmetic issue, but it but could lead to weak spots where the plastic may fail at a later date. The sticker on the lid is also curling at the edges and will not stay down, no matter how many times I press it back down. I'm going to remove the sticker and maybe put something else in its place, or just leave it blank. The sticker at least removes cleanly.Overall this case is a good value considering that Pelican cases are 3 to 5 times more expensive case. Harbor Freight has a similarly sized and priced case if you are in need of a case locally and more quickly. For most people, even frequent travelers or users of this case, this case will meet all of your needs for a protective and lockable case. For the ultimate protection, you may still want to go with a Pelican.
