Installed in my Wr250r Q4 muffler after my old insert came loose and fell out in the last trail ride. Nice snug fit as it should be. Recommend making sure the fastener hole i lined up before tapping it into place, and a dab of threadlocker on the replacement screw. Absolutely lowers the sound/noise level in a Q4 muffler compared to no Quiet insert installed.. much more tolerable to listen to than no insert at all.

Had to beat it in w/ a socket, then drill a hole for a retaining screw.Could not get it in far enough to use the locking ring.Won't ever come out and does not quiet the WR very much.

I couldn't find anyone posting the size of the hole these things were designed to fit into so I hope this helps someone, it is just under 42mm wide and is secured with an Allen key hex bolt. Fits in my old 2008 fmf powercore4(secured with a hex bolt style) exhaust measuring in just a hair larger than the original spark arrester making it a very snug fit for mine, but it does fit without any sanding or grinding.

Works but it’s not going to quiet things down as much as you are hoping for. FMF is still very annoyingly loud.

I purchased this item hoping to quiet the bike a bit because the FMF exhaust is too noisy for me to ride the bike and enjoy it. This insert did nothing to quiet the bike or take the edge off the sound. I would have been better off to insert the 40 bucks I wasted up the pipe instead!FMF should offer something that will quiet the bike. Stock is too quiet and restrictive and FMF too loud. I would not use this pipe in a National forest and piss off everyone. I wear ear plugs, but nothing is more harming to the off road community than loud exhaust.

The item is exactly as described with no defect, however fmf should have engineered the bolt design differently. Due to its location slightly inside the pipe, if the bolt that locks the quiet core in place becomes stripped or the head breaks off, the angle will not allow access. Does quieter the exhaust significantly.
