I bought these for my sons 2nd birthday at the park and they worked so good! They kept the flies away from the cake and the food. I definitely recommend these.

i always recommend fly fans, especially during the summer. the keep the bugs away from the food. i just like rechargeable ones better.

We love to eat outside during the summer months but who doesn't hate having flies land on their food. These fly fans really do work at keeping the flies away from your food. I was surprised at how well they work, as I have never even heard of a product like this. Wish I had seen these sooner, it could have saved such aggravation. They take 2 AA batteries and so far the batteries have lasted so they aren't an energy drain. I love that it came in a 4 pack as I can sporadically space them out on the table for maximum coverage. If you accidentally touch the blades, they don't cut or hurt your hand. These are a great picnic accessory and 2 will be going camping with us next month!

I remember eating at restaurants in tropical countries and every table has one or two similar fans to help keep flies away. These fans aren’t common here in the USA and a few years ago I spend time searching here after coming back from an oversees trip and couldn’t find any. I’m glad that I can now order them. The description, at least when I ordered these fans, was rough.You put these fans on your outdoor table, the shiny and soft blades spin at a moderately pace and the movement, along with the shiny blades keeps flies away. These fans don’t move air to cool you. The blades are soft so if you forgot they are on when you reach across the picnic table for the ketchup you will be safe. Each fan takes 2 AA batteries, I use common rechargeable NiMH batteries. Fly fans really help but nothing outside of a fully screened porch will keep 100% of flies away from your food. You also need to keep the fans pretty close together to protect your lunch. The manufacturer is quite proud of the house plant design for these fans…. They are cute but more in a kitschy picnic way. These fly fans work and fans like these are very common overseas but don’t expect miracles just vastly reduced numbers of flies landing on your picnic lunch.

The less attractive black ones work better. These were a lot nicer to look at on the outdoor holiday table and they did the job.
