Made of metal. Neoprene membrane covers area that craddles instrument. Design Frame folds open into an inverted “V” shape to hold instrument. Not light-weight or tipsy like my other plastic type. Easily holds Concert ukulele with about an inch of open space. Probably would hold my Tenor ukulele as well.

My one star is because it advertises that it can be used for a mandolin, which is why I bought it, but mandolins are too top heavy to confidently use this stand. You can balance it in there and hope it doesn’t fall (which it will at times), but I need a stand that can securely hold my instrument. Everything else about it is as advertised, so I assume something lightweight like a ukulele would be fine.

I got this for my boyfriend as a gift and liked it so much I bought myself a second one.This is the perfect ukulele stand and I have been on a HUNT! It provided perfect support. Perfect protection. Very sturdy. My uke is not falling all over the place. Insanely easy portability. It would probably even be great for my violin (maybe I will buy another… going on 3?! lol). I have had other ukulele stands before that did not leave my Uke secure.Also even the box it arrives in is awesome and cute and it even comes with a little mini Uke capo which is so adorable. 🥹😍🥰Could not be more pleased. A really solid, transportable and non-scratching stand for my Ukulele. When I put it on the floor or table its going no where. It should last for many years. Great buy at a reasonable price.
