Got this to check out how it might organize some archival documents.I'm on the fence as to whether or not I should get a couple of these for my kids as they are about to leave the nest. An orderly & concise way for them to keep track of important papers (passport, birth certificates, social security cards, etc...) as they move from home to dorm to apartment.I used it to file away some of my (RIP) father-in-law's documents. I was disappointed to find that some of them didn't fit well. I didn't want to have to store them folded, but it's how they fit without risking too much damage getting them into the envelopes.Things I like:The innocuous book-look: I feel like it could be easily blend in on a bookshelf for added security.The table of contents page.The labels for each envelope for efficient location of documents.Things I am curious about:I wonder how much paper it can actually hold? How far can it expand to accept thicker documents without sacraficing the aesthetic of the folio. By the time you put a few thicker documents like a Will and a family's worth of passports, birth certs., and miscellaneous personal documents I don't know how nice it will still look?Things I don't like:The construction of the envelopes could be better. The edges of the documents want to get between envelope and the page it's glued to. Making it absolutely irritating to load a single sheet, especially if it's old/fragile.
