It is at most medium weight and I seriously don't think it would transport 500 lb over any kind of terrain that was not completely smooth if that.

This product is not what I expected at all. It is small and made of cheap plastic material. There is no way it can hold up to 500lbs. I was looking more for a heavy duty metal made product with bigger heavy duty wheels. And the handle is not long enough to even pull or push the cart either way. What a joke.

Ordered this because of a recent back injury so I could haul things to my apartment complex dumpster. This is worth every cent! I made several trips with no issues. It’s easy to use and very light weight to carry. Stores easily too! I’m also pleased that the wheels are already bolted down so that isn’t a concern. High quality built product.
