I'm using these at the end of twin beds for a place for guests to put their bags or the extra pillows on the bed, etc. The ad shows a person sitting on one of them. Eh, I don't know about that. Maybe if you are a child who weighs 35 pounds. The fabric is very flimsy. It gives "cheap." But the price is right, and they'll work for what I want them for.

Every now and then you open an item which you purchased and know that the manufacturer is laughing all the way to the bank. This is one of them. All the parts, such as they are, were there. The instructions were fine, and it was easy to assemble. There was even a white glove in case you wanted to pretend to be Michael Jackson. (I would have thought it was for keeping the cushion clean while assembling, but that would require two gloves, not one.) That’s the good part. I expected that with a folding ottoman, there would be rod pockets on the cushion which you would insert the top rods through in order to make the ottoman stable and to provide the cushion for your feet. I thought wrong. The cushion is held in place by a detachable piece of fabric with a thin strip of Velcro on one side, and a black fleece on the reverse side of the cushion, which is also quite thin. You attach the piece of fabric over the top rods on to the back of the cushion with the thin strips of Velcro, and there is your ottoman. It’s decorative enough if you like bare wood and exposed screws. Don’t let your cat jump on it because it will collapse immediately. Be careful if you put your feet on it. You may want to only do one at a time, as this is not a double side of Velcro with a secure grip, and unfortunately the Velcro is the only thing holding the top in place. It took five minutes to put together, and about 8 to take apart since I had screwed it together securely, and I will need to really tape the box closed now that the cushion is no longer vacuum sealed, but I can take comfort in knowing that the box will be more secure than my feet on this badly made ottoman.
