Overall a really decent lower backplate for football pads. There is some padding to cushion the impacts behind the plastic plate. The three holes on the straps allows for plenty of adjustment to get in the correct location. It comes with the needed mounting screws. I did find you really need to first thread the screw in separately to remove the powder-coating on the threads. Then actually use to connect or you will struggle to get the screw started while trying to hold everything together.

After dealing with my own back problems due to football we wanted to take a little extra precaution when it came to my son. This backplate was super easy to install and is super soft on the inside. I’m excited for him to play but always fear he will get hurt, so this eases my brain a little.

Good quality lower back protector that is adjustable in three positions by durable straps. In order to fit the lower back better, it is designed with a slightly curved design. Includes installation hardware. Has a perforated protective shell to allow air flow for comfort.
