I grabbed these for my son’s soccer practices, and we’re both big fans! I’m not sure the calf cutouts are making a huge difference performance-wise, but honestly—that’s not why we love them. These are just so much easier than the old-school shin guards you have to wrestle over ankles and socks. Slip them on, and he’s out the door—no drama, no delays.They stay in place during practice and do their job. At this point, convenience alone makes them a win in my book!

**Background:** I love soccer I'm 6' 2" to 230 pound center back who plays in a competitive adult league. I wear grip socks every time I play or train. The issue with grip socks is they typically are crew length. So if you have to wear shinguards, it becomes an issue. So this why people wear these type of sleeves so it can cover up your crew sock and you can slide your shin guard in the front. The issue is I have large calves 17 1/2 inches and most sleeves or long socks tend to cut the circulation off and I get calf cramps. I often just hack holes in the back of my sleeves, but then they get really ragged very quickly and they start to fall apart.The Grassengine Sleeves are a great solution if you wear grip socks when you play soccer. They fit over your grip socks. You can slide your shin guards in the front and then they have a cut out in the back so your calf can get a little more blood flow.To build quality on these are nice fabric stretches and feels good. I do wish the hole was a little larger. There's extra elastic on the bottom to make sure that your shin guard doesn't slide out. They're a little tight on top so if you have bigger calves than mine, it might be an issue, but these are much better than most other sleeves which are way too tight.These are perfect for my league games when I am required to wear shinguards. I'm often hacking up a pair of black socks to use as sleeves, and they end up falling apart after one or two games. These already have pre-cut out holes and they're well-made and they're pretty large so I'm very happy. There's enough compression to keep your shinguards in place during the game, but they're not so tight that they get uncomfortable. This is a very innovative solution. I've never seen anything like this with stitching around the pre-cut hole so I think the value in this is it innovative design. Also, if you compare this to name brand sleeves, it's actually cheaper so it's a double value.

These leg sleeves are great! My husband uses them for playing in competitive leagues and was impressed by the quality of these sleeves. The quality of the brand is very evident. The cut out in the back definitely helped with airflow to his legs, a very unique feature. The actual compression was good, the sleeve isn't super thick and is on the thinner side, which could be good or bad depending on your preference. He didn't mind because he typically layers compression, and socks, etc. Solid product!

These compression socks are amazing. After suffering a calf injury, I needed a compression sleeve to avoid future injuries. These sleeves did the trick. Provides good compression, stays in place when playing, the provided opening for the calf allows for air to flow, keeps dry and allows legs to breathe while still keeping strong compression. Great value for the money. Totally recommend!

This pair of black compression shin/calf sleeves will work for someone who needs some compression and support. They have one hole so that the back of the calf can breathe. They are a bit tight....listing on Amazon states this large size will fit a shoe size 6-9, which has nothing to do with calf/ankle size, since you can have small feet and huge calves. So be aware that the shoe size has nothing to do with the sleeve size. Get an XL if you have big calves or lots of muscles.There is nothing on the items to indicate what they are made of.Also confusing is the packaging. These were in a Grass Engine roots zip bag, but the insert is for soccer socks...the whole socks, not just a calf sleeve. Again, this is confusing.

I’m 5’8”, 158 pounds, and ordered the large size. These sleeves extend up over my knees and fit really well. I’m not sure if they’re specifically designed to cover the knee, but they do so perfectly for me.I’m a long-distance runner with some knee and calf issues, and I normally wear separate compression sleeves for each area. These provide excellent compression and support, so I now only need one sleeve for my long runs instead of two. They don’t cover the ankle or foot—just the calf and knee in my case—but that’s exactly what I needed.They’re well made, comfortable, and fit securely. A great solution for runners, not just soccer players.

I’ve been using these leg sleeves for deadlifts, and they’re surprisingly solid. The open-hole design helps with airflow and keeps my calves from overheating, and the compression feels supportive without being too tight. They stay in place through heavy sets and don’t dig in or slip. Good material, durable, and comfortable.
