The blade has been hardened and tempered to maintain the edge and prevent wearing. The Domed head prevents splintering / mushrooming from continued use with a club hammer. The groove running down the centre of the blade aids with the removal of mortar when the tool is in use. Comes with a high visibility hand guard for added comfort and safety. Footprint still manufacture most of their products in the UK to the highest standards.
