Item showed up package very well packaged. Unfortunately the product had already been used and apparently returned somehow made it back out onto the new market and ended up here, it is very obvious it is a very cheap looking and the ends were bent from someone trying to use it. Apparently they returned it as It is very cheap looking and not well made. I have no doubt why they returned it and why it was bent, absolute garbage. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of it before I sent it back I should have and posted it here.

I needed to replace the check valve in an older lantern and this worked like a charm. I removed the older style check valve and replaced it with a newer one; this did both.This is a simple tool and pretty solid, not to mention a bit cheaper and easier to find over the Coleman version.

Well made. Precision fit and finish. There’s some real heft to this. I have a number of lanterns and stoves that I’ve inherited. This will be clutch in restoring them to their former glory.

Prongs that engage check valve bent after first use, material this is made of is poor quality. Will likely break after a few uses.

Wow! Makes getting those darn stubborn check valves out a cinch. I spray with penetrant the night before, install the tool, small rap with a ball peen hammer and removal is a snap. I have removed and clean three check valves today and all came out perfectly and was able to clean (de varnish mostly!) and reinstall like new.Make sure the tool is very snug against the valve (and in the slot!). I used an 8" Crescent wrench so I didn't have too much torque on the valve. When reinstalling take time to ensure you're not cross threading!

Purchase this item to assist me while rehabbing lanterns. 3rd lantern in it broke. This is not good quality. Dont water your money! For $50 it shouldn’t break
