Where I live it is hot enough that even a little Honda Grom's extend might sink into the asphalt on a hot summer day. This prevents that from happening. It also added a little bit of bling to my silly little motorcycle, and I like that.

I feel a lot more secure with this on my stand on windy days. Just make sure you tighten up the Allen screws time to time.
