Bought this product, but never got a chance to install it, because installation requires removal of the iPhone 12 screen. That is held on by glue. The included instructions are vague about how to remove this, but after viewing a few videos, I thought I'd try it, using a heat gun. Instead of the screen coming off, the glass came off, separating from the display component. The glue seems to have spread beyond the edge of the screen, so even when I finally managed to get the rest of the display panel off, it pulled other components with it. The entire phone was a loss. I have repaired earlier generations of iPhon before, replacing batteries mainly, but this glue-together construction is a nightmare!

i used it for a broken iphone 12 camera that stopped working. this part worked retaining the 0.5 function.one thing is it will give a message that there is an unknown part message, but i can live with that for this price

Works wonderfully… do get notifications that it may not be a true Apple product. Who cares, works perfect.

I tried for over an hour heating the screen and could not get the screen off. The plastic piece you are to use to separate it will not fit in the tiny crack on the phone. The suction cup is not strong enough either. I used a better suction cup and still could not separate the screen. Def need better tools
