This is a cool idea to replace the expensive and proprietary Apple storage drives. I am not sure on the longevity but it does work, which is nice, because you can get a regular M.2 drive much cheaper, and with much more storage, than the stock Apple ones. If it lasts and doesn't burn out or stop working, this is a winner for when the time comes to replace your Apple storage drive, or increase your storage capacity. Just make sure you have a way to load your OS because that was a stumper for me for a while. But it's good now!
