These are really strong. I used a malleable iron cap to drive my 5' galvanized pipe and it eventually stripped. I suggest you just use the couplings, and rotate through them, driving with one and then using it to attach the next pipe and using another to drive the next pipe. After 25', I was rewarded with ice cold water that disappeared the next day, and hence the site was dry. My neighbor used his tractor to pull it all out, and I cleaned and stored all the parts for my next attempt.
