The instructions they provide with this product are inadequate, in my opinion. So here's what you do. Search for “Puddle/Door Light Replacement Tesla Model 3” on youtube. It's what I should have done to begin with. Instead, I attempted to install using their orange pry bar and their instructions. The orange pry bar is useless and both ends snapped off at the tips. Use a flat head screwdriver and the light will pop right out. Disconnecting the stock light is not as simple as just "disconnect." Their instructions don't mention that there is a little tab you need to depress to remove the stock light. I muscled it and broke the plastic on the male end of the connector inside the door of my brand new car. I'm very unhappy about that. Watch youtube and you'll see the little tab I'm talking about. After that, it's just a matter of connecting the new light and popping it back in. To avoid installing backward, the little indentation on the edge of the lamp will go in the same place where you inserted the screwdriver to pry out the stock light. In terms of image quality, I'm not terribly impressed. There is blue bleed around the edges of the white stripes on both lights, and the flag image is an imperfect rectangle. Maybe that's nitpicky and other people won't notice such imperfections. But I do, and once you see them, you'll notice them every time you open your door. Between that, the useless pry bar, and the inadequate instructions, the best I can rate this product is two stars.

Bright lights and easy to install

These lights are a small upgrade that make a big impact! Installation was super simple—just popped out the factory puddle lights and plugged these in. Within minutes, I had a crisp, bright American flag proudly projecting onto the ground every time I opened my Tesla’s doors. The brightness is impressive, especially at night, and the design really adds a personal and patriotic touch.They’ve held up well so far, and I appreciate that they don’t draw extra power or trigger any errors in the car’s system. It’s a subtle mod that turns heads and always gets a “wow” from passengers. this is a great little accessory for the money for any Tesla owner who wants to add a custom, standout feature without breaking the bank.

These door light projectors look great and were super easy to install, took me less than 10 minutes to do both front doors. The include a plastic pry tool to help you remove the existing ones and then it's just plug and play.The quality of the projection is also really good, the colors are reach and the stars and stripes are crisp. My photo makes them look a bit blurry and misshapen because its projecting on freshly laid asphalt but on a flat surface they look really good.I do wish the projection was a bit larger but it's not enough for me to knock a star off.

These are incredibly easy to install and exude a sharp, bright appearance that will undoubtedly receive positive feedback. Even a simple addition like new puddle lights can transform an ordinary, unassuming door opening into an elegant and luxurious experience. Who would have thought? If you’re seeking to add a fresh and patriotic look to your Tesla, I highly recommend these lights!

I picked up a pair of these puddle lights and installed them in the doors on my Model Y. Installation was simple and the projected image of the US Flag is sharp and bright. I've had some enthusiastic responses from my friends when they get in and out of my car at night. As a US military veteran, I appreciate the patriotic symbolism of these lights.
