Beats replacing $30 steering wheel covers every couple of months. I’ve spent more on the special larger size steering wheel covers over the past year than I did on this replacement steering wheel. Stretching them over the wheel makes them loosen the stitches so within a month or two they’re falling apart. The new wheel feels fantastic, it’s all nice and clean. The old ones would turn my palms black because the top of the rim was dry rotted, and a steering wheel cover did not help that process. It instead made the old one even chalkier. No matter how much I cleaned it, it was gross. But I bought the truck used from a concrete testing lab so that’s to be expected.The new one came from a dealership in Amarillo, it’s a legitimate ford part, had the same sticker in it that my original wheel had. Simple replacement. Disconnected the battery, used a thin Allen wrench to insert into the 3 holes one at a time to remove the airbag, then a T50 torx wrench to remove the center bolt. It’s only torqued down to like 36 lb-ft. A little dab of blue locktite will keep it tight. No special steering wheel puller tool needed. Once you remove the bolt the wheel comes off with no effort at all.The buttons work perfect, and light up perfectly as well. Everything fit like factory and feels like factory. Great way to freshen up an old truck
