I recently purchased a 1997 F350 that came with one set of keys and the doors/ignition were mismatched from an ignition swap the previous owner had done. I was looking for a complete set and this one, while not the cheapest offering, included all 3 locks, Ford branded keys, and gaskets for the door locks. The swap is quick and painless. I ended up pulling the door panels to hook attach the door locks because I dropped the rod in the door both times but that wasn’t a big deal.

I sorely needed a new passenger side door lock since the one on my truck stopped functioning. This set filled my need since I'd have to replace both the door locks and the keyed ignition switch if I didn't want to have to carry around two keys for my truck. The only "problem" was with the lack of instructions. This was the first time I've had to replace the door locks and ignition switch on any vehicle. I had to do some research to learn the easiest way to remove the ignition switch. Also, it would've been helpful to know to soak in water the fiber washers that go between the door lock body and the exterior door surface before trying to place them on the door lock body. I broke the first one I tried to put on the lock body. The second one I soaked in water about a minute before putting it in place and it popped right on without breaking.

Locks work well, plastic parts didn't even last through installation

I had my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT broken into and the people tried to take the truck and ruined the ignition but couldn’t take it. I order this part with the door locks so I would only need one key for the ignition and door locks. It was easy to install (hardest part was getting the broken up old ignition out). You will need new keys that have the transponder in them so the keys that come with the kit won’t work on your vehicle if you have chipped keys. I just went to my local locksmith and they were able to cut me new chipped keys for the ignition and the door locks. Everything works good as it should.

Needed after a local restaurant cleaned the table, including my car keys, and tossed them in the dumpster. Works well but the gasket that comes with the door locks just doesn't fit quite right. Does not affect operation. Keys definitely need to be deburred with a touch to a wire wheel. Everything else fits/works perfectly. Good Price.

This lock set worked perfectly. Make sure to double check your part numbers, I got this for 1997 Ranger. Swapping them all out was super easy. All that's needed is a flat head screwdriver. Open the door, pry the lock spring out and remove the old lock careful not to lose the linkage. Then reassemble with the new lock. For the ignition, turn the key to run/on and slide a screwdriver or similar round rod up in the hole on the bottom of the steering column. Feel around with it until you contact the retainer pin and pull the lock strait out. Set the new lock to run/on and insert back in.Locks are all smooth and work well.Pros:New locksKeyed the sameCons:None
