Have same problem as other 1 star review. The c-mount thread is ill-machined and will not thread onto my c mount camera. Other adapters work just fine.

Fit with Nikon lenses is snug but fine for 1970s manual focus models as well as latest FX Gs. Aperture control of Gs is perfect. Finish is high quality. Great device would be five stars if they tweak up the threads. Purchased on Amazon to adapt Nikon lenses to a night vision device, it threads in less than a full turn. Similar incompatibility with other C-mount adapters, though thread specs sound compatible. Fotodiox support approved return then after my email sent another in case first was poor sample. Second was no different. Used valve grinding compound with multiple C-mount metal caps to achieve full thread engagement of both samples. Return allowed to expire.

Works well with my Nikon F Lenses when hooking them up to a CS thread sensor.I used this on My Raspberry Pi HQ Camera setup, it allows me to set the aperture on my lenses, all that needs to be done is set the lens to manual.

All my other C-Mount stuff goes together great. This won't screw on more than a half turn. Returned for replacement hoping it was a one off defect but no, the replacement is also threaded wrong. Obviously I can't use these with my lenses - they would fall off. This is a standard 1" diameter 32 threads per inch. Am returning the second one also. Very not happy.

Overall, a quality feeling product and I'm very happy I bought it.There were a few minor problems. Biggest one being that I needed to use an abrasive grease so the c-mount threads would screw into my device (coating/anodizing a very small amount too thick caused my camera to stick).I loved being able to set the aperture ring. A non adjustable adapter would have left aperture closed. However, with 1:1 movement of the aperture blade means a small rotation causes large change in aperture. (I realize a geared type adjustment would significantly add to the cost, so I'm OK with how it is.)

Got the job done. Fits perfectly on both ends. It also has an aperture ring!

This adapter does what it says, although I think it's a little expensive. The build quality is fine. I tested this with several different Nikon lenses including the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D, and the Nikon 18-200. They both fit fine, and the adapter is sturdy enough. I used this adapter with a custom Logitech C920 webcam for use with Macro work. I used the blue ring for manual aperture control --- it has a short and smooth travel. It's not indented and does not click between settings.
