Calculate the Magnification rate
Magnification rate = Magnification rate of Camera Lens + Diopter * Focal Length * (Magnification rate of Camera Lens + 1 ) / 1000
For Example, Canon EF-S55-250mm F4-5.6 IS
Magnification rate of Camera Lens(@250mm) = 0.31x
Snap On Macro (Diopter = 8)
=> 0.31 + 8 x 250 x ( 0.31 + 1 ) / 1000
= 2.93x
i.e. The Magnification Rate for Snap On Macro at the Canon EF-S55-250mm F4-5.6 IS is 2.93x. That is meaning the 1cm bug will be reflect to the CMOS as 29.3mm. That is already bigger than the Full screen on the APS-C Camera. (APS-C CMOS size = 25 x 17 mm )

I used this with my kit lens. It easily snapped on my RF kit lens, it worked very well. I was able to get some good macro shots of a birthday cake. There was a slight vignetting, depending on what focal length I was in but that wasn’t an issue at all. This is good for what it is, I didn’t mind it as I was not expecting the quality of a 1000$ lens.

Color me impressed by this macro adapter set up. I own a few dedicated macro lenses, but I have other lenses that give a unique look or are much faster for natural low light shots. So this is a way to have a macro lens by simply adapting a 'regular' lens you already own.That being said, I already have a larger macro adapter which is three times the price of this. I cannot tell any differences in my images between them. That's a darn good deal.The snap on idea is pretty good as well. I have to screw my older one into my lenses...this set up is much simpler and faster.The frame holding the optics is a heavy grade plastic of sorts, and the push-in levers have pretty strong springs. It had no problems keeping the macro unit attached to my lens.Optically I was impressed. The images I have provided were taken with a Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 Nokton lens. Both images were taken at the minimum focus distance of the lens. I was focusing on the word 'macro' each time. You can see the stark difference of magnification with and without the macro. You can also see that with the adapter on...the word 'macro' is tack sharp.Different lenses will yield different results...which is half the fun.This is a good value...for a beginner, or someone with experience.Nice piece of kit here...recommended!

望遠レンズでマクロ撮影を行う変換レンズ。45mmフィルター径のレンズだが、37-52mmと55-72mmのステップダウンリングが付属する。このステップダウンリングは秀逸で、バネで縮む棒の爪をレンズフィルターネジに引っ掛けることでリングに記載の範囲のレンズフィルター枠に無段階で取り付けることができる。取り付ける側のレンズの仕様に左右されるとは思うが、この手軽感はどちらかというとAPS-Cサイズカメラでの使用が最適と感じた。Nikon Zレンズの24-200mmに取り付けた場合、フルサイズでは200mmに望遠した状態でも周囲が若干減光する形でケラレが見られた。カメラ設定でDXフォーマットにする事で中央部をクロップして40mmまでは縮めて使用できた。レンズの周囲は若干甘さを感じるが、色滲み等は見られないので、価格に対してのパフォーマンスとしては好印象を覚えた。（添付画像の白い布は商品付属の白いウェスをマクロ撮影したもの）
