I’ve purchased the same wee pad holder for years. The first three were great - fit perfectly for a 24 x 24 wee wee pad. The latest one - purchased this past March 2023, it was a completely different product than listed.1. The pad hold size becomes smaller - no longer in square.2. The worst is that it used to be super easy and fast to tuck all four corners in to the pad but now the new design made it super difficult to do - it has a stupid star-ish cut out that you have spent a lot of time to just change 1 pad and make the pad stays in the holder.3. If you also purchase their wee pads (Four Paws), the quality also went down. - we liked the white color pads (thicker, more absorbent, less “obvious” in our household) but they changed it to regular blue color pads (thin, less absorbent, little pee from my tiny chi you can see the spot 3 feet away). If the company actually reads the review, I want to ask - why do you change thing when the original set up was perfect?I threw away the new one and luckily I kept the original old one. I was planning to get a backup now it’s not even possible to buy.

I have a 13-week old male pug and live in NYC so training on a pad was essential. I realize that I am lucky in that he doesn't see the pad and a chew toy - which believe me is shocking as everything else is! - and has been 99% perfect in going on it from day one. But I started having to put two pads down because he was thinking of it as a general area! This silicone pad holder has been great. I only need one pad and he needs to get all the way on it to do his business. Even when it goes a little on the holder it is easy to clean and really great for #2 :) I find it holds the pad great.

Update: Dropping my rating from 5 stars to 3. our brand of pee pads is slightly smaller than the mat, so there is always pee leaching onto the mat. It’s easy to soak up with a paper towel, but the silicone holds the urine smell. It stinks SO BAD. I’ve tried soaking it in vinegar, etc and cannot get the smell out. I wish I could find something to soak it in to neutralize the odor.Original: I am so happy I tried this silicone liner tray. It is just what we needed to solve our problem. Our dog always pees right on the edge of her pee pads and they can’t absorb quick enough which always lead to it running underneath and then across our unlevel floor. I was so tired of cleaning it up multiple times a day. I first tried putting her pee pads inside the plastic liner tray from a dog crate. She was hesitant to step over the edge and when I finally got her to, the tray flexed under her weight and startled her. She wouldn’t pee on it. Then I stumbled across these silicone trays and I am so glad I did! They are quiet, soft and flexible and she never hesitated to walk right onto it! The lip seems to help her know when she’s all the way on the pad before she starts to pee. (It’s not as high as the crate tray edges.) Our pee pads are slightly smaller than the tray, so occasionally urine still runs off but the lip keeps it contained (on our slanted floor it pools in the one corner) then I just use a paper towel to soak it up. Soooo much easier than cleaning up the mess that used to run the length of our floor. I think only 3 times since we got this over a month ago, there has been a tiny amount that wasn’t collected in the tray and ran underneath onto the floor. So i wouldn’t recommend it on top of carpet, but for us it has been just what we needed. I don’t use the little slots to hold the pad in place because our dog doesn’t carry around and shred pads like some do. I just lay it on top. I actually found another brand of tray without the little slits first that I would have preferred, but it was a bright color and I wanted something more neutral to blend in with our decor a little better. I am so glad I gave this a try.

This is exactly what my dog needed! I have a small 10 pound dog who uses the Wee-Wee pad when it's very cold outside. The pads are not sealed around the edges so urine can leak through the sides and flow onto the floor. The silicone pad resolved this issue and any urine stayed within the silicone holder. The holder saved my bathroom floor! The silicone holder is also soft and doesn't hurt my dog's paws. The edges also create a border that my dog can feel which helps her target the center of the Wee-Wee pad better so little urine spills through the edge.I read the negative reviews before purchasing this product and they almost changed my mind, but I went ahead and purchased the silicone holder because I know every dog is different. Some of the reviews said that the corners don't prevent their dog's from digging up the pad. My dog isn't a digger and never moved the pads on the floor so this issue wasn't a problem. A doggy litter box may be a better solution for these people.I did a quick dog training when I first set-up the silicon holder with a Wee-Wee pad. I told my dog to sit on the pad and gave her a treat. I only did this twice and my dog quickly understood that she's allowed on the silicone Wee-Wee pad set up. Since then, everything drastically improved!By the way, I am not being paid by anyone for this review, it is definitely real and I hope it helps you.

The pads that I use are too small to reach the corner grips, so I don't bother with the corner grips at all.I purchased 2 pad holders, placed them side by side and layered a total of 6 puppy pads to cover both holders. I haven't had any problems with the pads sliding around or out of place.I had previously tried the hard plastic 2-piece pad holder. None of the dogs liked it, so that ended up being a waste of money. These silicone pad holders are comfortable to walk on, and the dogs willingly used it from the very beginning. It's so soft, the edges and corner grips easily give way when stepped on, and it doesn't bother the dogs at all.2016 UPDATE: While I still use this product, the expense of purchasing disposable puppy pads led me to search for alternatives. I found EZwhelp pads. Does not leak through. Machine wash and dry. I picked up a dozen EZwhelp pads, use 2 per day, and wash a load of them once or twice a week.
