This is the first time I've dealt with T-slots that are made of 2 pieces, but the design works and I appreciate the ease of installation. Basically the MDF pieces sit in an extruded aluminum channel that has half of a T-slot on each side, so when you join them together you end up with a T-slot between 2 MDF sections. It installed easily and is a very worthwhile upgrade.
