A whistle comes attached to the handle. The whistle didn’t work. Nothing- not even the slightest sound. The umbrella is very poorly made. The metal supports for the clear part Of the umbrella broke the first time it was used. The clear part was punctured when the metal broke. This was all from normal usage. Very cute umbrella. Wish it would have been better made.

The very first time my daughter used this umbrella 3 of the support rods pushed right through the plastic ripping the umbrella leaving it unusable and with holes. Very poorly made. We are quite disappointed in this product.

My toddler loves this umbrella, Unfortunately in her excitement she was bit rough with it and bent one of the spines, however its still currently opening and closing well, but is no longer symmetrically round

I ordered this for the holiday, but the shipping time was iffy. On impulse, I emailed owner to expedite. (Amazon did not offer this.) Not only did they respond in an hour, but I had it in two days! (They also refused recompense for shipping!) As to the product (for a four year old boy), it was perfect: Beautiful and sturdy, the dinosaurs showed through the plastic in all their gorgeous shapes and colors. A real grandma gift, but worth the expense, and from a really responsible company. I cannot say enough about them. Of course, my daughter took me aside and asked where my granddaughter's was...
