Used on a 2001 Crown Victoria, the 90 degree angle in not how it normally goes. My original Motorcraft vents straight up, so I had to awkwardly angle the hose to connect to this Fram vent. Does the job though. I will just order the original next time.

While I have yet to install this, I can say that the Amazon image does not match the part received. I had hoped this would have a single port elbow. It doesn't; it's the stacked (double) port type. The intended application is a '96 T-bird 4.6L V8. My original Motorcraft valve with single port barely fits under the stock intake tube.Since this Fram cost little more than a handful of peanuts, I didn't mind hacking the elbow. I modified it by cutting off the top (EVAP) port pipe flush with the remaining bend and sealing the included plug into the resulting hole with gasket maker compound -- the plug fits as-is, but not snugly enough to hold/seal well.I noticed the incorrect part number on card in the Amazon image, but since there is a different unit shown with a white elbow in addition to the carded unit, I had hoped that one was perhaps a different/older FV198 and would have the single port elbow.Fram's website does show the FV198 as having the stacked elbow, though, so I pretty much assumed that's what I'd get.If your existing elbow is in reusable condition, the above won't be an issue for you, of course. If, OTOH, you'll need a new elbow and you won't have room for the stacked port type, you'll either need to purchase a single port elbow for use with this pcv valve or plan on modifying the FV198's included elbow to fit your application. This item basically gets 3 stars by default simply because everything else from Fram that I've used over the years has worked just fine, both in fit and performance.I'll add a star if the valve body fits the rocker cover and it works once installed. There will be no 5th star because Fram's own website lists this number for my engine, yet its included elbow won't fit under the stock intake tube. When a company lists a part as a match for a specific engine, everything included with said part should fit the matched engine's stock configuration. Considering this inconvenience factor, I'm probably being generous by allowing them the potential for 4 stars.

Originally, I thought this did not fit my 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The photo did not match what was sent. HOWEVER, most people might not know that the two pieces of this valve can be separated. If your vehicle does not use an angled, side-port valve, simply remove the plastic portion from the metal portion which gives you a straight valve.
