We needed to hang curtains in our new to us 1940’s ranch home but were having issues with the StudBuddy that we had previously used in our apartment.No matter what I did I couldn’t get the StudBuddy to pick up anything in our walls.Popped some batteries in this Franklin and got to work, it not only shows me where the stud is — but how wide it is.I decided to test out the live wire functionality as well and it helped me find a wire that was routed horizontally through my wall — I would have thought the wire would go vertical from the switch but for some reason when they wired my house they did some horizontally.Really neat feature that helps keep you safe while drilling.

Nice case, though, it's a bit tight for the M210 model I have... but I guess that's a good thing, as it doesn't shake/rattle around in the case at all. Good quality, standard nylon material, nice zipper.
