We had a room off the living room that we wanted to make into an office or spare bedroom, but it had an arched doorway that is 71" wide. To avoid having to have extensive carpentry done to install a normal door, we decided to try installing two of these doors side by side. They even include the adapter you need to joing the two rails together to make it one continuous double unit. Fairly easy to build but they are heavy (that's a plus for sturdiness but a potential issue for hanging and moving them. The hardest part is mounting the rail to the wall...it's a heavy iron bar and when you have two of them attached together, they get really heavy and unwieldy. However, I was able to do this with my adult son and a bit of assistance from one other person just holding up the weight on the one end while we secured the main part of the bar to the wall. We had to reinstall one screw when we noticed the 12 foot span wasn't exactly level. Once installed though, it is a beautiful sight to behold and does exactly what we were looking to do with that room entrance.

We have looked for years for doors for my home office. These doors ended up being perfect. The doors are very well made and heavy. All the hardware came with the doors except for a header we put up to secure the doors to.
