WHAT SIZE BRACKET SHOULD I USE?
NOTE: Ideally you want no more than 3" of unsupported countertop extending past the end of your bracket.
For example, the countertop depth is 18”, subtract 3" from that 18" depth (3" is the amount of countertop that will extend past the bracket). Results: You would want to order a 15.5" bracket for this 18" deep countertop.
HOW MANY BRACKETS SHOULD I ORDER?
✦When using this floating bracket for shelves or mantels with a load less than 100lbs you can space these brackets on every other wall stud.
✦When using this floating bracket for Bars, Countertops, Benches, Cabinets, or Vanities you will want to use (1) bracket on every wall stud which would be (1) bracket every 16" or 24" depending on the framing method used.

Works great very strong keep in mind that a 16inch piece measures 12.5 inch out the wall wish I got the longer one. With some skilled Sheetrock work to go around support my live edge countertop went up level and strong. Had to modify my studs as the house is old. Hardware is great and doesn’t strip.

I thought the vertical mount was flush with the horizontal bracket and routed marble accordingly. luckily, i have enough wiggle room to simply route an additional 3/8” toward the edge on both sides of the marble slab, but if i didn’t have the space this would have been a disaster. i also could have waited for the bracket to be delivered and measured it before routing expensive marble.otherwise, it seems well made for the job. will confirm after installation.

These things are HEAVY duty! My 300lb husband was able to hang on them and they didn't budge. I was super skeptical about the screws that came with them bc they are the dreaded Phillips head but 12 brackets and 6 screws each not one rounded out or gave me any issues.

Items were very sturdy and were used to build a shower bench seat. Many websites said we needed only 2 brackets for the width of our bench seat (44") but don't be cheap get extra to make sure the bench is very sturdy. Ours is also filled with mortar which makes it extra heavy. Definitely needed if you have someone elderly that you may need to wash with two of you sitting on the seat.
