Good value and will do the job, but not all the sides screwed in flush with one another. Some were a little warped so will need wood glue to fill the gaps.

This is a very cute and easy to assemble public library. It is made of pine wood, already pre drilled for assembly and has a metal roof for rain and harsh weather and a metal base that fits any 4X4 wood post (with some sanding and tweaking) I advise to apply wood conditioner and a sealer to preserve the wood especially in a state like mine where the sun is unforgiving and the humidity is very high during summer.

We haven’t put this Free Little Library Box together yet, as we’re saving it for a summer project, but so far, I’m really impressed with what I’ve seen. The materials look sturdy and well-made, and everything seems to be cut and prepared nicely for assembly.I love the idea of setting this up for the community, and my wife can’t wait to build it and paint it to give it a personal touch! I’ll come back and update my review once we’ve put it together, but for now, I’m very happy with this purchase.

Where to begin, love the idea. One side arrived broken but could glue back together. Instructions call for 12 long screws. Package says it includes 8. Holes don’t line up on both sides to attach to bottom and top. Can’t believe it will be waterproof even with applying sealant. Luckily I want to use it inside. One metal top does not a waterproof box make unless you live where rain falls straight down. If you are looking for an outside ox look elsewhere.

I’ve been wanting to make a little free library for a while, and this kit was the perfect solution! I just received it and went through the contents. The wood and materials are high quality, and I especially like the sturdy metal post stand—it feels built to last.I’m excited to assemble it and start sharing books with my neighbors. Nothing beats the gift of reading and building community connections. I’ll post an update once the project is complete!UPDATE: Fully assembles. Very easy to construct (15 minutes). One thing, my handle didn't come with screws. Will contact the manufacture. All else lined up correctly and it is VERY sturdy!

My kids and I are ravenous readers, which is fantastic except...it means we end up with a TON of books. So when I saw this little library I thought it'd be a perfect way to share some of our reads with others. And it'll be a fun craft for us to assemble and decorate together before placing! Opened the box on receipt and verified that all pieces arrived. Fitted a few of the pieces together just to try it, and they are well cut, fitting together nicely and providing a good seal for the inside (important to protect the books we'll be sharing with those who visit). We're waiting to assemble and place until Spring Break, so that we all have time to work together and make this a family project, and we are all looking forward to it! Lovely kit. Thank you!

I so love the concept of little libraries. This one will hold well over a dozen tall children’s picture books, or a handful of adult books with a big stack of paperbacks. The grain of the fir wood is very pretty; however, the back features thin, painted plywood, so while your neighbors and people walking down the sidewalk can see the nice grain, you, the homeowner, get stuck with a rather boring view! Of course, if you paint it, this won’t be an issue. The assembly took much more time than budgeted due to less-than-precise manufacturing: grooves not lining up perfectly for the back piece, dowel stick holes not lining up perfectly, and the need to remove the acrylic door panel to get the protective film completely off. There is a slight, noticeable gap between the door and side that could allow rain inside. The number and size of screws listed on the instructions is incorrect; they were all there, just listed wrong. At this price point, it’s still a great kit. Pieces came protected in bubble wrap. Good instructions--and definitely attach the hinges to the box before the door! (Reflections in the front view are not defects.
