Failed flood test in shower area where bath tub is also going. The problem is this drain is assembled from three separate parts with a foam seal in the middle. The seal leaks immediately. Swapped this out for the ABS flange version molded from a single continuous piece (looks similar to the Schluter Kerdi drain).

This is a great part for almost any type of tub. You can install it yourself. It covers the bottom of the tub drain in a leak free manner. Drains great and will use again!

It seems to be of great quality and built to last. The fact that the kit has corrosion and leak resistant components is something I really appreciate. I was pleased to find that the process of installing the kit was not only easy, but fairly simple. I didn't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to install everything because the kit came with easy to understand instructions.

Building a home was a new experience for us so we tried to research and figure out the best way to do things to prevent extra trouble with maintenance later on. We learned that if we wanted to use a free standing tub we would need to use a drain rough in kit in the floor and then hook the tub drain to that. This kit had everything included so we didn't have to gather up extra parts to get it installed. We installed it and put in the tub with no major issues even though we are new at doing this type of work. It works great and we have no leaks so we are super happy with it.

We decided to replace the tub in our master bathroom this year with a freestanding tub however we soon realized we would need to install a rough-in drain in the floor before we installed the new tub. We found this drain kit that has a brass tailpiece and nice sturdy parts to install in the floor so we would not have to install anything else under the tub to work on the pipes. Came with all the parts we needed to do the install and hookup our tub. Instructions were clear and easy to follow so we got it done quickly.
