I would call this baking set good for beginners. The couche has whipstitched raw edges rather than a folded seam. This just creates more of an entry-level product and won't affect the results of the bread much, just how the couche holds up to use over time. There are a couple of imperfections in the fabric and in the stitching. Again, the couche will still do what it is supposed to do. There is a lame with a cover and a few blades; the lame is easy to hold with its large handle, which is great for beginners. (Pro tip: the box from the blades is generally used for disposal of spent blades. Slide them back in the box and discard when full.) The baguette pan has a non-stick coating, which will be good for beginners, versus pans without the coating. The wells for each loaf aren't three inches, they are more like 2 3/4. So overall, get this set if you aren't ready to invest in more expensive tools or just beginning to learn about bread baking.
