I have used french cleats before for hanging larger items because they are strong keep the piece flush with the wall. I needed two smaller cleats and these were perfect because they are small enough to use on one individual wall stud. Worked like a dream and the price is more than fair. Will definitely buy more of these.

Used to hang a dry write board. I did grind a bevel on on edge so that it was easier to slip under the metal frame of the board so I did not have to screw into the board frame.

It was very easy to install on the back of the mirror and wall. If the wall mount is not in a stud you should use anchors. I used my own anchors that were heavy duty. It is holding up my 35+ lb mirror without any problems. Highly recommend

Works as expected, easy to install, very secure hangers that allow you to hit more than one stud when hanging a large picture.

I recently ordered a large mirror that came with mounting holes in the metal frame rather than built-in French Cleats. These will be more secure (4 screws into the drywall versus only 2) and allow for a little bit of side to side play for easier centering over a vanity. Plus putting up the mirror or taking it down will be much easier than trying to perfectly line up the two small holes in the frame. The necessary screws and drywall anchors are included, though I'll use sheet metal screws for the frame instead of the small wood screws provided. A small bubble level is included if you don't already have one. The metal is sturdy enough for my project, though you might want something larger and beefier if hanging larger heavier items like a kitchen cabinet (which should be screwed into studs).
