They kinda hide who makes this bass, kinda weak business practices, other wise I would have returned it if I didn’t know how to do a set up , but I do , now I love it ! Great bass , just feel kinda duped into buying a TARIO bass but it’s good , and I am pleased would have gave it 5 stars if it didn’t seem dirty.

This may very well be the best $300 I've ever spent. This bass has all I wanted as a R&B, Classic/Christian/Heavy Rock, and Metal player. The 2 active pickups make for a killer sound. The look of it is more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. The craftsmanship is a little on the rough side, as mine did come with a small chip in the body up near where I rest my arm, and the fretboard is a little rough around the edges, as well as the head is a little dirty underneath the truss rod cover. But the through-neck construction is a huge plus for the sound quality and sturdiness of the bass itself. It came in with some pretty bad "fret" buzz but with a little loosening of the truss rod, I was able to get rid of all of it on all strings up to the 13th fret on the B string, and higher on others.Woth 5 knobs to play around with, this thing can make almost any sound you want it to, but it sounds great on its standard setting as well.I have been playing bass for 13 years, and have had 3 bass guitars in that time. This is my 4th one, and it's not as pretty as my Schecter diamond series that I've been primarily using for the last 8 or so years, but it certainly beats it in sound and versatililty. This is also my first fretless, and it's blown me away with how well it plays and how great it sounds. I was budgeting out roughly $800-$1000 for my first fretless, but when I saw this thing, I figured, "why not? It's not like it's not gonna be able to play." and boy does this thing play! This bass has absolutely changed the game for me, and opened up a whole new world of smooth playing for me. I swear that it also helps me to figure out new songs faster as I don't have to deal with the plinking noises made by frets when I'm trying to find the next note.I 100% recommend this bass, and there is not one drop of buyers remorse out of this musician!

The pickups had a buzz when plugged in and the control knobs had static when adjusted.

It's a perfectly workable 5 string fretless. It's the absolute cheapest you can find, so yes, it is made with the cheapest parts. The bass plays just fine. There is a little buzz on the G string from the saddle but it sounds just fine through the amp. Absolutely great deal for the money.

As an entry level instrument, this does the job well. Active pickups (decent ones at that) Its by far the most affordable 5 string fretless that is actually functional. However, I did have to bring it in to a shop to get set up properly because the B string was literally unplayable, because it contacted the fretboard with about an inch of string. After that it does play well, albeit with some buzz here and there from the saddle or fretboard buzz (which shouldn't be heard through the amp anyways). Honestly, if you got the money, save up for a higher quality 5 string fretless, as this isn't the greatest sounding basses. As a beginners instrument to learn on? You will not find a better price as of writing this review.
