This bit does a great job and has very little tear out even at the corners of end grain. It has held up well and gives a smooth cut that requires only a couple of grits of sanding to be ready for finish.

Very sharp bit that does not burn wood even when full depth through wood that is prone to burning such as cherry. I have typically used cheaper products and have to make cuts in multiple passes, but not with this bit. I will be using Freud bits in the future.

Great bit like all other Freud router bits. Don’t confuse this bit with a round over bit like I did as it will leave a step like the photo. Swapping out the bearing with a 3/4” bearing will create a round over which is nice

I like this bit fine but this is listed as a Quadra-cut meaning four cutting surfaces as pictured but bit sent has normal 2 cutting faces not four.

After using a few cheapo HF router bits, I decided to try this brand to see if I noticed a difference.. Oh my!! I can't even try to compare the two. This bit is worth every penny it costs. No burn, no tear out, limited sanding. What more can I say? Buy it! You won't be disappointed!!

While not brain surgery, a four flute router bit makes great basic sense as it doubles the cuts per minute over conventional two flute bits regardless of rotational speed of the router or shaper used. Other benefits are reduced vibration, smoother surface finish, and presumed longer lasting cutting edge owing to the smaller incremental "bites" each edge produces which should also translate into cooler carbide edge temperatures which also indirectly enhance pilot bearing life since there should be less thermal migration to the ball/race/lubricant assembly of the bearing. . . Win-win-win.

I bought this bit to route the bull nose to complete my raised fireplace area in the corner of our living room. The material I used was white Oak that was recycled from a building built around the turn of century. It's beautiful wood with much tighter grain than you see these days and it's hard. Very hard. Like all Freud router bits I've owned though, this made short work of it and left very little sanding for me. Truth is, if I wasn't so picky, I could have left it alone, but I sanded it to rough it up a little because it was too smooth and shiny. Sure, there are cheaper bits out there that will cut the same profile, but, they won't do it as well or for as long as a Freud.
