The description of this product is somewhat deceiving as it NOT just for refrigerator use and really should highlight that.The item is just as pictured and comes with an instruction booklet and charging cord.The directions walk through easy set up and the various areas were it can be placed to reduce odor and bacteria. The device itself is compact in size, quiet when running and emits no fragrance.I live in an apartment and opted to try it in my furnace/air conditioning unit area as there tends to be a musty odor problem there that I haven't been able to get under control.The device gives 2 operating functions depending on your need.Option 1: I would call a "quick blast" and runs about 30 minOption 2: a continuous deodorizing setting which it states runs 45 days on a single charge.I choose the "quick blast" first and could immediately notice the difference in the air within about 10 minutes. and no odor at all after 30 min. I switched over to the continuous setting and it has been running for a few days now with no issues and still no odor!A plus for me is that I'm getting an extra boost in the air quality going through my unit.It's a little pricey, but definitely worth the purchase

We needed a deodorizer for our outside refrigerator because the seals are starting to go bad and it has developed a musty smell. Not to mention at times we also have shrimp bait for fishing so it's not the best smelling refrigerator at times. This little gadget seems to be doing a good job of keeping those odors at bay. It comes with a charging cord and the battery will last for days per the brochure. We have had it running for a week now and the light still shows green. It has two modes - standard and turbo. The green light is for standard mode and the blue light is for turbo mode. There also a red light that will turn on when the battery needs recharging. Not really sure how this works but it is impressive for such a small unit.

I received this Sopuria Fridge Deodorizer to use and review. I received it in blue and the color is very pretty. Reminds me of the light turquoise appliances of the 50's.I read all the details on this listing and read the directions and it appears this device works by negative ion generation. In other words, it generates ozone in the air. Ozone is a lung irritant.The EPA has precautions on their website on any negative ion generators. They say that they are not safe at any levels and can cause lung irritation, aggravate asthma and actually cause lung damage. They also say that there is no difference between the ozone you're putting in the air at home and smog outside.This device is rechargeable and the USB charging cord is included. It does need to be charged every couple weeks.I have tried this deodorizer and after turning it on, I put my nose up to it to see if I could detect a smell. This was before I learned it works by negative ions. I detected a slight scent of something that reminds me of bleach. Don't do this. The directions in the box clearly say do not breathe close to the ozone outlet while the deodorizer is turned on. Luckily, I do not have asthma or any lung or breathing issues so as far as I know, there were no ill effects. But other people may experience adverse effects from directly breathing ozone.I did put this device in my fridge and although I don't really notice any difference (my fridge didn't have an odor to begin with), I'm going to leave it in my fridge for a while to see if it retards spoilage of fruit and vegetables.So, there you have it. The benefits vs. the risks. You weigh the benefits versus the risks and decide if this deodorizer is for you.
