Worked great when installed but just 2 months later it died. I verified this by using a continuity test on the heater and there was no resistance

Direct replacement, same connectors. Tested in service mode, got hot quickly. Tip! don't cut the aluminum straps, you'll still need them for the new heater.

We installed this defrost heater assembly....only to find that we still had to defrost our freezer with a blow dryer a few weeks later. We assumed it was another part, so we replaced the defrost thermostat....to no avail. After months of trouble shooting, I came across a video that shows to test the initial defrost assembly by touching it to see if it warms up....so I did! It was ice cold--it never has defrosted anything. Bummer that I didn't check that before--so we can't return/exchange it--but make sure you touch it asap, to make sure it's not defective.
