After ordering the correct item and being sent the wrong item, it then took 3 back and forth emails before they would send the correct item. Correct item finally arrives….. and the fit on the pillar is so bad. Too long for the intended coverage area, adhesive sucks.

This is great for the price. Worked out perfectly for my vehicle.

It doesn't include the tabs to pop it down. They are about $10 on Amazon. It comes with some rubber sealant. You need to heat it up to use it. Tape off the plastic and windshield and use alcohol and your gloved finger to finish it off.

Buy if you need it. This is a super easy DIY fix. Read the more detailed reviews, watch a few videos and voila. You'll be done in less than 15 minutes. It's not worth paying someone else to repair. Add Gorilla glue for extra hold.

Easy to install and saved us a bunch of money. So much easier than going to the dealership. Highly recommend replacing all of the clips.

I could not find any youtube instructions for my 2015 Ford Explorer, so I looked at various other instructions of similar products and figured it out on my own. Some of the recommendations were to take it to a dealer and have it installed for $500. I had already bought the parts and decided to do it on myself. My windshield pillar molding blew off at about 70 mph and was lost. Most of the retaining clips remained and were not broken, which probably meant that the molding was not installed properly by Ford. The design flaw is that it is impossible to tell if the molding is properly seated by the retaining clips since they are under the molding. The factory probably assumes that the clips are set properly if a specified amount of pressure is applied to the molding. Since, from reading complaints about the molding, it is not uncommon for the molding to be blown off, the engineers really need to redesign the molding and clips. Anyway, back to the installation. The molding does not come with replacement clips. I ordered 10 Ford windshield molding clips with sealer from Popular Auto Parts - through Amazon. Neither the molding or the clips came with instructions. Do not remove the protective plastic from the molding until the job is complete. It has circles that show where pressure needs to be applied to attach the molding. I removed the old clips by using a common tack lifter / pry tool and pushed the clips out of the slot that they were in. The new clips do not have the same backing as the original, so they slipped into the slots easily. They seem to be designed so that they align themselves when pushed into the slots. The clips come with a standard 10.5 oz caulking tube of sealer, which seemed like a huge amount for the job. I only used about 20% of the tube. I caulked the strip that contained the clips and caulked the edges where the molding rests. I then gently, but firmly pushed the molding in place, starting at the top clip. The molding has circles on the protective plastic to show where the clips are and where the most pressure needs to be applied. I had read that others had used too much force and broke the molding, so I do NOT recommend using a rubber mallet. The sealer takes at least 24 hours to cure. As I noted before, there is no way to know if the the clips are properly set - other than to go for a 80 mph test drive and see if it flies away or not. I have given my work multiple "tests" and the molding is staying in place. Good luck !
