After installing the valve and filling the gas tank, I noticed that the ON position is actually OFF (no gas flow )and vice versa. Also did not have a reserve position.

The one I got is defective. The petcock is bad and will not turn. I didn't want to put too much pressure on it so I first removed the plastic knob then with pliers wiggled the shaft around a bit and would get it to rotate sometimes. But its basically stuck and useless. It is not like it is just hard to turn, rather it is a hard stop. Unfortunately I didn't install it for a month so I am not able to return it.
