Great for Broadcast and Shortwave. If you are buying it because it says it receives SSB, it technically does have the modes but... The VFO does not dial down in less than 1khz steps so you end up tuning right past anyone that isn't dead on frequency. If there is RIT adjust I haven't found it. Also, my particular unit does not light the charge LED when I plug in a USB-C adaptor. So I'm wondering if it just won't charge til the battery discharges more fully. Or if mine is having an issue. I'll try to update once I have an answer on this.

You need to pay attention to the antenna switch at the rear of the unit - the "FM/AM-SSB" - especially when using the supplied whip. I use mine with an outside wire antenna for shortwave listening. If you have AVRDUDE, you can install an upgrade with the *.hex file from GitHub using a TinyUSP ISP and cable to the Arduino Nano inside. Also, a User manual of sorts available on the same site.Once the antenna switch is set right, the sensitivity is quite nice, and with the new features and larger number fonts after the upgrade - quite enjoyable and worth the effort!

This tiny box does everything the maker claims, and does it well. My new favorite HF receiver.

It picks up various frequencies and the antenna is easy to boost.

Works, but the manual leaves a lot to be desired… More a ‘curiousity’ than a real receiver…
