Once the guitar was properly set up - the truss rod was way too tight and prevented proper action of the strings - the unit tuned right up and is now easy to play. Good acoustic sound, but I have not yet tried the pre-amp unit function. With the "gig bag", it's a great value for money.

A new guitar should not have scratches on it. Quality control not that great. The pick guard cane with scratches on it. I would expect that from a used guitar but not a new one! I would return it but I'm afraid the next one may be worse.

Meet Elsa. This beauty arrived in the mail today. For the incredibly low price, I was surprised at the quality. Sounds great and the intonation was spot on after tuning her up. I've played electric bass on and off for decades, and always wanted an acoustic like this that I could just pick up play and hear it without an amp. Make no mistake, this isn't a pro model, but it's better than I expected. Your beginner student is going to love this.

Deep rich tone, smooth feel on neck and bridge. Tuner doesn't work though. Nice gig bag with a few big pockets. You can't beat the price for the quality.

First, I have been playing guitar on and off for 50+ years now and since everyone I know seems to have an acoustic guitar so I wanted something to add some depth to the music. I had been wanting an inexpensive acoustic bass guitar for a while now just for that reason. My first band I landed up being the bass player and since then bass playing has come a long way from being just a back up instrument to being up front so I still have a lot to learn on bass. I was taking a chance with this guitar thinking it couldn't be much for only $110 but I was wrong. First claims was it was hand crafted and from what I can tell there are no flaws in the construction and looks good. So I tuned it up and started playing some old songs on it and there was no fret buzzing and the action is really good all the way along the neck. I am very impressed with the quality of this guitar so far. Another impressive thing is that I have owned a lot of mid priced guitars that were good but the company mass produced them and didn't even bother putting serial numbers on them for identification. This guitar comes with model and serial numbers just like my expensive guitars did. Does that mean anything, to me it does because I have an antique guitar that has the serial number of T014 and a lot of people would love to get there hands on it. But back to this guitar, I am really glad I bought this one and will be using it quite often even though I'm primarily a 6 string player. I had read others talking about the strings and that is a personal choice. I wasn't expecting much but the strings are pretty decent from my point of view and a beginner could learn a lot just using those strings. I gave it 5 stars considering its value for price ration and it is much better then many guitars in that price range. Also I got the blue one for nostalgia reasons since my first guitar was blue and also mo one else I know plays one so there won't be any confusion. Final rambling thoughts, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great for beginners. Good enough for a casual player but I wouldn't recommend for a serious musician.

For an acoustic bass under $120, this is definitely a good purchase. It does look like a work of art. A few things were loose here and there, so a once over is recommended before play. The stock bass strings just didn't feel or sound right, so I immediately replaced them with Fender acoustic bass strings. The sound is greatly improved with actual acoustic bass strings.I do recommend you clip the strings at the bridge for ease of removal. The E string in the new set was a 100 and I had a little difficulty stringing it. I wouldn't try anything thicker.I did notice the fretboard is shorter than any other "full size" bass I own. Things are a little easier to manage. All in all, this bass is 4.5 star quality, I raised my score to a 5 star rating due to the company's customer service. The tuner was defective. I was taken care of quickly and effectively. If you are considering purchasing this bass, I recommend going for it. It is not top of the line, but it felt and sounded better than my Ibanez. It is perfect for a beginner.

I've been a musician for the better part of 30 years. I have played Wind Instruments, String Instruments, percussion instruments and electronic instruments. Back when I started, the words "China" and "Musical Instrument" were two that most musicians never wanted to hear put together in the same sentence, ever. This acoustic bass seems to change all that. After reading the reviews, and watching several videos on YouTube, I truly wondered how on earth the sound could come out of something for so inexpensive.Simply put, consider me absolutely impressed. This is not the greatest bass, and it lacks true resonance that a bass made with finer materials would be capable of. It isn't the greatest bass for slapping, but despite all that, it is one tremendously wonderful value for the amount of money it costs.Take good care of it. There is no way that this could be nearly as durable as some guitars out there, but be that as it may, if there is a need to own an acoustic electric bass, and not a desire to spend a large investment of money, this here guitar is the choice to make. What a tremendous bargain.
