Good tunes for beginners flute. Not really organised into sections for the notes it teaches you. Sometimes a tune comes up that has notes that the book hasn't taught you yet.

I like the Hammond 'Funky' books - lots of early practice, and includes theory practice in the form of games and puzzles. Use the course with other things too, as with any tutor book.

I've been using this book for about a year with some of my brightest students. All of these students had some previous music experience and like challenges. The colorful pages and games are a big plus. The CD accompaniments are fast, so I encourage my students to learn the pieces first and only try performing with the CD a couple of days before the lesson. We use the playalong CD in lessons as a "test" of their work that week. Then they can check the box at the front of the book. There's also a certificate at the end of the book, which is curiously motivating. I like the sequence of books 1-2-3. It accelerates their learing and never gets boring. This is a great new series and a welcome addition to the flute method genre.

my daughter asked for this book to help her, she is age 10 and a beginner at flute, they had this book at school and she wanted it at home too, she says it is step by step and easy to understand, she likes having the CD to listen to as she plays, recommend

My pupils & I love this book. The layout is easy to follow, colourful and fun. The backing tracks are fabulous. I really recommend this to flute teachers and young beginners too.
