Works great. Lube with WD40 when you get it. The little rubber combination cover comes off easily so be careful.

I ordered this because I'm tired of carrying or worrying about misplacing keys when I am on a road trip with my travel trailer. It is functional and will keep honest people honest or add a layer of difficulty to stealing my trailer, but I would not use it for long-term storage or in a high-crime area. It definitely would not stand up to a crow bar or a chisel placed in the poorly fitted joint between the two cast-iron chassis halves. It definitely is not forged steel. It is convenient to have a combination instead of key lock, but the weatherizing cover over the combination will not stay in place. It isn't permanently fastened to the lock and I'm sure a strong wind gust will send it flying eventually. Overall I think I got what I paid for.

This is a great invention. We have bought three of these now. They work great and you do not have to carry several different keys when you have several trailers. Our son can have the code and use a trailer without needing to get a key from us. They seem sturdy. If you had a major sledge hammer and really pounded on it, it may come loose but seems to be a good deterant. My only concern is the rubber cover for the tumbler (numbers) is not attached, it just locks into two little slots. I worry it is going to fall off. I wish it could be attached by a wire cable somehow but we haven't lost one yet.

Like anything that is affordable, this lock is pretty much there to slow down the bad guys and to keep honest people honest. IMO the lock can be defeated fairly easily with a cutoff grinder or maybe even a 3lb mini sledge. That said, the main idea is for it to slow down someone that might be interested in my trailer enough for me to address the issue.

I set my unique code, it worked several times before I locker it on my trailer. About 3 weeks later I tried to remove it and the code didn't work! After trying many times, I got out my hacksaw and it was easy to cut through. After I cut about 3/4 through I hit it with a hammer and it broke into at least 4 pieces. It only took me less than 5 minutes to completely destroy it. Not secure at all!

For about 20 bucks It seems to be a great value. Hoping that the combination lock holds up to rain. The cover appears to fall off easily, but overall good for the price.
