It will fit a 16" calf! Ordered a 9, true to size. I'm using it for a 60's costume party. So, it works for me.Downside, it scuffs easily. I tried it on, took a pic, and it scuffed. I don't care, they are cute, comfortable, and it FITS!

My calves are 20 inches at the widest point, and when I first put these on I was sure they wouldn't fit. took me about an hour to stretch it with a couple methods but we made it work! I'm giving this 4 stars because while well put together, there was some scuffing and dents in the patent. this mostly went away after stretching, but if you did not have a wide leg to stretch these shoes into it would be more difficult to deal with that. They also seem to scuff and crinkle easily, but the finish isn't harmed. I think as long as you have some patent polish, these will be fine even if imperfect up close.this is the steps I did in case you want to recreate:1. put foot in, zip high as possible (pinch the zipper and wiggle to get some extra height)2. very carefully use a hair dryer for aprox. 20 seconds, stay a few inches away from the boot. wiggle the hair dryer as you blast (to not concentrate the heat) and go over the entire shoe but especially the area you zipped to. Use one hand to pull the patent taught as you do so.3. continue to pull the zipper higher, do the pinch method and wiggle your foot. repeat step 2 and 3 until you feel like you arent getting anywhere.4. sit with the shoes on for a little bit, as the heat dissipates it will mold and stretch to your foot shape. I waited about 15 minutes.5. put a thread or ribbon through the zipper, pinch the material together with one hand and pull on the thread with the other. this will give you a bit more leverage and it wont hurt you hand so much (i got a blister from trying to use my fingers...)6. alternate doing this between each leg. also use your hands to grab the top corners of the material and stretch it AS HARD AS YOU CAN before you zip. you can probably also use heat here too.7. once you get them all the way up, blast with hair dryer all over again to aid it to stretch to your shape. wear for a few hours.I would also like to add that I think you could easily use the material from the zipper to sew in an elastic insert, which was my plan if I could not get this to fit.

I absolutely love these, as someone with thick calves finding a gogo boot that actually fit was so exciting. I went to look to see if there were other colors (red, pink, etc) but there’s only black and white…. Please make more colors!!

Very cute! I can usually wear regular boots, but, got wide calf thinking these would run small. Foot part fits normally. Calf is very narrow, not wide at all. The only one who could zip them was my daughter who is very tall and very thin….. she only weighs about 100#s…. Tiny legs and calves. So, she has new go-go boots! But, unless you’re very small, with very small legs and calves, these won’t zip, even if you order wide calf.I got them for Halloween. I still wore them… they just weren’t zipped…. Like, at all…..other than the sizing, they’re cute!

I have 19inch calfs and ordered a size 9. They barely fit my calf but once you break them in they fit comfortably. I’m dressing as a DCC for Halloween and have only done the routine once with the boots they don’t offer a lot of support for dancing so be careful. Overall they look great and can be used for a variety of costumes!

I ordered boots from another company and they were great, except they did not fit my calves. These boots fit wonderfully! I am a size 8 and ordered a 9, which was a tad bit big for my feet, but it was better than being too tight. The calves fit great too. My calves are about 15.5 inches and very athletic. Great quality for costume boots!

The boots are good, the price is good, the fit on the foot is perfect but the calf is really rather large. This will be fine underneath flared trousers but no good at all with dresses/skirts unless you can find a way to 'take them in'.

The boots are dynamite and radically groovy. They fit true to size and the heel is perfect height. The sole itself is not very comfy so if you plan on being a solid gold dancer put insoles in. The box comes with two boot sleeves to prevent scuffs while storing.

I ordered these boots for a Halloween party from an amazon page that specifically said I was ordering the wide calf in a size 9. The box arrived and what I received was a size 6. Obviously I couldn't get my foot in to know if the calf was wide enough or not. Now I believe it is too late to get these by Halloween and all the other things I ordered from amazon for my costume which arrived correctly as ordered will not be use. Very disappointed.
