This item was not what I expected. In the past when I ordered a counted cross stitch kit, In received a kit with a blank canvas and a paper graph with the design printed on it with each square containing a symbol for the color thread to be used in that square. You had to find the center of the graph and in turn find the center of the canvas and work out from there, counting the number of stitches to be done in each color, hench the name counted cross stitch. This kit actually has the design printed on the canvas, a symbol in each tiny little square. You follow the symbols like you did in counted cross stitch. When you finish the design, you put the canvas in water and it dissolves the symbols printed on the canvas and leaves just your stitching. This is so much easier than the "counted" way of doing the stitching. It's been a few years since I've done counted cross stitch, and I wasn't sure if I could still do it, but I wanted to try. As it turns out, this method is much easier and I don't have to do any counting. This is great!

The chart and instructions are concise and easy-to-follow. The printing on both the aida and the chart is of good quality. The floss is separated and labeled. This kit comes with a scissor, threader, ripper and extra needles in a small case. I love the design and can't wait to start. The kit is definitely worth the price and gives good value. Thanks for the quick delivery.

I've never done a printed cross stitch before (previously, I've only done counted cross stitch), but was willing to give this a chance. I won't be able to start work on it immediately due to upcoming wrist surgery, but in looking over the kit and instructions I'm fairly impressed. Some of the language in the instructions is not the best translation, but it's understandable. The kit itself has everything you need except for an embroidery hoop (which from the instructions sounds optional, but I'm used to keeping my work taut with an embroidery hoop), and all materials feel like they're good quality. The cross stitch canvas is not fraying and the embroidery thread is silky and soft to the touch.

I was taken with this picture and had to make it, even though it was a printed design. I was brought up doing counted cross stitch and wasn't sure what to expect with this kit. It is amazing! The kit has the printed design on fabric (and it doesn't look a thing like the finished project), a printed design so you are sure you are using the right colors, 38 colors of floss, snips, needles in a needle holder, and a threader. Since I wasn't sure of the design, I followed the directions for the amount of floss and am very happy with the coverage! The flosses are on their own cards, so you can put them on a ring or some other type of storage if you prefer. It does not tangle like cheap floss and I am very pleased with its performance. Excellent kit - however, I noticed when opening, that it smells strange.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
