I actually had to use a extra bobber with these because they are so heavy. Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing, but the riverbeds and lakes around here are very rocky, and I've lost A LOT of lures and rigs to the rocks. But as long as you know your depth, you can rig your system to be just a little bit above the bottom--works amazing that way.

We get bluefish and Stripers mainly in the river up here and these are the best rigs to use. Sliding weights on wire work well for the blues so they don't cut the leader with their teeth. Good swivels with smooth finish to attract the dumb blues. Bass are a bit smarter but you can use these with circle hooks for them too.
