We did a lot of sitting around on blankets when our first kid was a baby. Living near Central Park in NYC, we would go at least once or twice a week to spend time outside. And when our son was a baby we could just park him in the middle of a blanket and enjoy being outside. Now, we have a new baby and our son is 2.5. He doesn't sit still on a blanket anymore, but come spring and summer, we'll be back outside enjoying this blanket again. One of us will be running around with the toddler while the other sits on the blanket with the blissfully still baby. Excited to whip this guy out again for that.It's a decent size for a portable blanket (one can always use a bigger picnic blanket, but sometimes you just gotta put a few down and make a larger space with a few different blankets) and thankfully has the waterproof bottom, which is essential. Sometimes there's dew or it rained or who knows what, and you don't want the blanket you're sitting on the get wet as you sit on it. The top is nice and soft, with a pleasant pattern. We'll definitely be using this a lot when the weather gets warmer!

I love this blanket! I don't know how i survived for so long without one. It's essential for beach trips, picnics, stargazing, watching fireworks etc. Really well made, easy to put away, and I love how high quality and heavy duty it feels.

This blanket attracted me with its fun colors. It's lightweight and easy to pack but value wise, depending on your durability needs you may need to shop around. It's kind of thin and I don't think it would take more than a small stick to poke through the material. It's just kind of plasticky, feels like a fancy tarp, and I guess performance wise, it's basically a fancy tarp. It's smaller than you think once it's opened up and can barely fit three children with their lunch bags. I had to stand because there was no more room :(
