While the distance was impressive and the sound was clear, one of the two units fogged up when it got damp. I bought them to be used while kayaking. I have not contacted the company as of yet.

My nephews love these walkies! They’ve got a lot of property and are too young for cell phones, but too old for the cheap ones that barely work out for the house. These have been awesome. They can be heard clearly from one end of the property to the other, even in the woods. They were able to figure out the functions quicker than I could read the instructions. They especially like the radio aspect. And, even though it hasn’t been tested yet, I’m hopeful that they are waterproof/resistent enough for falling into the pond! Very good set up!

Our family loves to hike and camp and it isn't always in places that have the best service. This is a great solution to keep in touch if you need to do different activities during your outdoor adventures. You can also use it for road trips where you are using 2 cars. It keeps charge well and it has a clean sound that is great. They are durable and made of quality materials. So many options for uses.

The product was just delivered. I purchased new walkie talkies and I must’ve got returned used ones. There was no plastic wrap on box of walkie talkies. The clip and lanyard were already installed on the walkies. The batteries were depleted of power and the walkie talkies would not power on. The walkies were dirty and the boxes that the walkies came in were bent and torn. Will make another review after I turn on and use the walkie talkies. Hopefully, my opinion will change when I can actually use them.***UPDATE*** After powering up walkie talkies only one of the 2 walkie talkies worked. Contacted support and they are going to send me a new pair and I have to return the bad ones within 30 days. I will update review after I receive the new pair.

We bought these so the kids could play in the woods and keep in touch. As soon as these arrived, we put them to use. They’re excellent and the kids love that they can listen to the radio. I like the size and the design. We haven’t tested long range yet but I’m hopeful they will do just as well.I will probably get another two.
These are NOT waterproof!!

We bought these radios to go kayaking, we didn’t even put them in the water, they were inside our PFD all the time, the won’t start again and they have water inside the screen…Not worth it!!! At all!!!

The instructions make the Walkie Talkies seam complicated. but they are very intuitive and easy to use.

We got the Gaswei walkie-talkies for use around the neighborhood and to stay in touch with younger kids who aren’t quite ready for cell phones yet. Overall, we’re impressed with their performance!Pros• Exceptional Distance and Clarity: These walkie-talkies performed far better than I expected, especially compared to the ones I used while snowboarding in the 90s. The sound quality and range were excellent, making communication effortless.• Useful Features: The NOAA weather channel and dual watch mode were great extras. Having hands-free VOX functionality was also a big plus, especially with kids.• Rugged and Waterproof: The fact that they float and are waterproof (IP67) is a huge win for peace of mind during outdoor activities.CautionsWe noticed that these radios can operate within the 462–467 MHz frequency range, which includes both Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) channels. Here’s what you need to know:• FRS Channels (License-Free):You can legally use these radios on FRS channels without a license, as long as the transmission power stays at or below 2 watts.• Channels 1–7 are shared by FRS and GMRS, but FRS users must keep the power at or below 2 watts.• Channels 8–14 are exclusively FRS and transmit at a lower power of up to 0.5 watts.• Channels 15–22 are shared with GMRS but can still be used by FRS radios at a maximum of 2 watts.• GMRS Channels (License Required):If you use these radios on GMRS-only features (like higher power settings or repeaters), you’ll need an FCC license to operate legally. To comply with regulations, stick to FRS-only channels unless you’ve obtained the necessary GMRS license. This is especially important if kids are using the radios.==Overall==These radios exceeded our expectations, delivering reliable communication with impressive clarity and distance. They’re packed with features that make them versatile for everything from neighborhood use to more adventurous outdoor activities. Highly recommended, with just a note to verify which channels you’re using to stay within FCC guidelines!
