This gadget is a blast to use and collects all the 'spent' pellets perfectly. We stick the 'Splatterburst' targets over the Gamo targets for even more fun. All you have to do is remove the whole thing from its mount and tip out all the lead pellets once in a while.

Value wise, you won't find a better deal. There are similar items that are a lot smaller and come with less targets. Sometimes no targets are included at all. They're usually $20-30 more as well. So this is by far the best pellet trap and target combo deal online. The odd pellet does fly back out though. Still a great item.

Assembles fine, holds the target, but it does not meet the performance the box claims. The box says it is good for up to 1000 fps pellet rifles - mine shoot at about 800-900 fps with RWS Supermags (9.3 grain). After just 50 rounds, the deflection panel was bent back so far the pellets were hitting the back wall of the collection area and the cone part of the trap was separated from the collection part due to the metal bending. This might do okay with 500-600 fps pellet rifles, but it certainly is not handling my 800-900 fps rifles. Very disappointing.

This is a really good design and feels sturdy, but is best for lower power guns. I imagine this would do fine with almost any BB gun and many of the 800 FPS or lower .177 cal pellet guns with lead pellets (up to about 8 Ft/lbs of energy +/-). But shooting 14.4 grain lead pellets from a .22 cal Gamo Swarm (> 20 ft/lbs of energy) at 30 yards just beats it up. A few shots were enough to hammer the back plate way out of position. And I made the mistake of trying to sight in the rifle with this... First shots were off enough to hit the edge of the target. One shot hammered the groove that holds the target closed. I'll be able to pry it open with a screwdriver, but I'd prefer not to have to do that on every wild shot.Still, it's a great target design and well made for lower power guns. So I won't knock more than one star off. I would love to be able to pay maybe 50% more for one with heavier gauge steel, or a hinged back-plate that would be able to absorb more energy without getting destroyed. Unfortunately, it's this for $20, or $70 for one capable of taking rimfire hits.Mods and accommodations:1) Drill a small hole in the bottom if you want to permanently install it, to let rain water drain.2) For higher air rifle power shooting (up to maybe 22 ft/lbs energy), I'll just plan on not missing. And, will replace the angled flap of metal with a replaceable small piece of plywood dropped in the back to catch the pellets.

Mounted this pellet trap to an old fencepost and it works perfectly. Nice piece of kit for all day plinking with an air rifle. Just keep the velocity under 500fps or there will be damage to the trap.

This thing works great and comes with a ton of targets that will last a long time. We have only used it ones, but it is very sturdy and should hold up to a lot of abuse. I'd say about 1/2 of the BB's didn't actually make it into the containment trap at the back, but the rest were securely held behind the target paper, technically contained and didn't have to picked off the ground.I must admit, we did not try it with pellets yet, only BB. I'm very happy with this product..

Amazon, you either need to change the description of this product to an air SOFT trap, or you should remove this product from your PELLET trap offerings. The first shot from my .177 caliber Air Arms TX200 Springer rifle, shooting a 7.6 grain lead pellet at 17 yards, tore up this GAMO trap's deflector plate. The next two shots left a significant dent at the back of this trap, nearly punching through the thin and weak sheet metal. If this trap were not backed up by a 3/4" thick piece of plywood, full penetration would have occurred. Not a worthy product for Amazon to carry.

i really like this target trap, as it fully meets my needs for 10 meter air pistol practice. Prior to full assembly, I lined the inside with indoor/outdoor carpet to provide a more silent experience. It is easy to assemble, and mounts on one nail or wood screw. The .177 pellet has not dented nor harmed this unit in any way - perhaps the carpet lining helps in that regard. This unit is small, but is plenty big when using a highly accurate competition grade air pistol. The heavy paper targets that come with it are nice, but I prefer official 10 meter targets, which will fit.

Wonderful trap, this is the second one I've bought. Of course the pellets will eventually start pushing out the back or leaving dents but every pellet is caught and they never come back at you. Its small as it states in the description but thats not a big deal. I will continue buying this trap. Great price for the quality.

I got one of these a while back to catch the pellets from my 10 Meter pistol, about 400 FPS. They work great for lower powered air guns, but if you shoot it with a higher powered one, you will shoot it to pieces! I had one years ago, and my FWB 124(750-800fps)started to take it apart. If you shoot steel bbs at it, they will bounce back sooner or later. Put your eye out! When I use it with my Benji 392, I only pump it up 3-4 times, and I stuff a couple plastic bags in the trap to kinda mellow out the impact of those big, fat 22 pellets... So far so good. The trap is inexpensive, handy and works great for its intended purpose. If you want to catch the pellets from the hotter airguns, get one of those traps that will work with rimfire guns, it will last you forever!

The 100 targets it comes with are a plus. But the backstop that directs the bb's into the holding area bends with repeated shots and ends up blocking the bb's from entering the holding area and then they all come flying out the front.I have re-bent the backstop flap several times and it seems as though every time i fix it, it just bends back easier and with less shots.I would suggest buying a .22 rim fire bullet stop, which is bigger, stronger, and has a better system of stopping and holding the projectile. (but is also much heavier)
