Uesd to shoot rats in chicken coup. They are very light so you need to adjust for that. Worked well. Safe if eaten by chicken. Using a Crossman break barrel pelett gun.

I wrote an earlier review that wasn't as appreciative of this pellet as the H&N SportHatsanUSA 92164500003BL Air Guns BBS & Pellets. However, I found that there is no difference in accuracy, but the penetrability is not as significant as the H&N Sport Hatsan USA Pellets. However, the penetrability is plenty adequate for annoying rodents.

Giving this 5 stars so hopefully my review is towards the top, but these pellets are trash, jammed my gun 2 out of 3 shots I took.. I'm throwing the rest of them out, complete waste of money

I bought a new Gamo Wildcat and tried several pellets in it to see how it would perform. The Wildcat really liked 4.5gr pellets, and it really sends these lead free LUXORcu pellets downrange in a hurry! Every shot cracks through the air with these pellets to prove that they are going faster than heavier pellets, and even lead 4.5gr pellets. I definitely would recommend these pellets to a friend

These are a bit pricey, but seem to be awesome pellets!I'm not sure what kind of metal it is under the copper coating, looks to be an alloy rather than lead, but these things pack a punch! They're probably a little too much for the smallest critters and will pass through with basically no expansion, but for rabbit sized creatures, you'll get great penetration for a more humane dispatch.

Functionally these are great: accurate kill shots. I use for squirrel mitigation in my backyard/garden. As many as i kill, there are always replacement squirrels. But at least dozens aren't overrunning my fruit trees, etc. I sought these Gamo's out a couple years ago as I know lead, especially many many of these pellets distributed all over my backyard are not good long term. They will leach into the groundwater and into our streams and out into the puget sound and pacific ocean. Not good for salmon and coutless other plants, humans, wildlife, but I would like to know then, what metal is under the copper coating?

Okay first of all I have shot atleast over 5 diffrent types of lead pellets and best so far for consistency in accuracy is crossman hollow point but these things fly fast af breaking sound barrier each shot and man is it fun about ever 3 through 5 shots are pretty dead on I can do a 1inch grouping at 20 to 25 yards I can hit 1inch and half group at 30 that's pretty good for these pellets I honestly love the snap of every shot and I know when I hit my targets it's going down dead in its tracks great job gamo

I had raccoon and rat infestation at my back yard destroying the garden in the past few weeks, each raccoon is around 25 lbs. My goal was looking for a pellet and gun combination that can put down the big raccoon.Guns:1. Gamo Raptor Whisper .177 (1250fps alloy pellets) - normally very quite... but get extremely loud with the Gamo Luxor CU2. Sig Sauer P226 .177 (525fps alloy pellets)Testing out 5 different types of hunting pellets (most are pointed head with metal or lead)1. Predator Metalmag Pellets (8.5 grains) (Lead, point metal tip)2. Crosman Destroyer (lead and pointy tip)3. Gamo Tomahawk (7.8 grains) (all lead, high expansion)4. Beeman Crow-Magnum (8.8 grains) (all lead, strong impact)5. Gamo Luxor CU (5 grains) -- this thing is bananaComparing to all the other pellets, overall performance, the Gamo Luxor CU comes out on top of the list in all three criteria: accuracy, penetration, and knock-down power.Normally, the air pistol Sig Sauer P226 can only shoot through thin material with other type of pellets. With the Gamo Luxor CU, the Sig Sauer P226 punches through soup can/paint can of multiple layers and damage the concrete wall behind. When I used the Gamo Raptor Rifle to shot the raccoon, the Gamo Luxor CU pellet went through the skull and created a big hole on the back and dropped the raccoon on the spot; with this pellet, no need to get the bigger caliber 0.22 rifle to handle raccoon. The combination of this Gamo Luxor CU pellet with any rifle with fps > 1000 is deadly. Definitely not a toy air gun pellet and prove to be devastating for anything standing on its path.Pros:- Go through nearly any material with a sharp entrance (squared shape, exact size of the pellet's head) and create a huge ass exit that splashes stuff everywhere: When I practiced shooting with the Gamo Luxor CU pellets, they went through 4 layers of thin metal sheets (soup cans) and created a hole on the concrete wall in my basement... I repeat, a hole on the concrete wall using an air gun!- Highly accurate, small grouping, can shot multiple pellets through the same hole.- Environment-friendly- Pellet looks normal after hitting target... I cannot believe how tough this copper pellet can be comparing to the lead pellet that deforms upon impact.Cons:- Loudest pellets I have ever used, sounds like you hit a metal board with a hammer. -- this came from using the Gamo Raptor Whisper, a very quite gun.- The pellet is kinda too light, a little bit heavier will make this pellet even deadlier.- Most expensive pellet on my arsenal. In conclusion, if you have a .177 rifle and you want to shoot down something big as a 25-30lbs raccoon, use this pellet! This pellet is the .50 cal of air rifle world.
