This is a great option for a cuber’s first speed cube if they’ve already learned to solve a basic 3x3. My son is 10 and finds it fast, smooth, and helped take seconds off his record in solving 3x3 (which matters when you’re speed solving! Every second counts!) Compared to a standard Rubik’s Cube it’s noticeably lighter and quicker to turn. While it may take a bit of getting used to, it works well. A solid step up for anyone moving beyond beginner cubes. At just under $37 (March 2025) it might seem a little steep but not only are you paying for the GAN brand, you’re getting a different type of cube all together even if it looks the same to non solvers!

Great quality cube! If you’re serious about speedcubing or want a premium experience with maximum control, GAN cubes are worth the investment. For beginners, starting with a mid-range GAN model can provide excellent value without overwhelming customization.

I'm not a speed solver by any means but I do enjoy solving a cube and am trying to improve my speed. This cube is very smooth and a joy to manipulate. I really like the colors. Great cube.

Gan puzzles are hit and miss for me. I like a lot of their puzzles that are NOT 3x3s and don't much care for some of their 3x3s. But I have enjoyed some, like the Gan 12 and Gan 15. This one, however, not so much.First impressions are good - you get a nice box, a box of accessories, and a beautiful cloth cube bag. The internals are a nice yellow that looks great. After that, it goes downhill.My cube came with an annoying loose magnet that clicks on certain turns. The plastic feels cheap, the puzzle itself feels blocky and old, and just isn't great to solve. Doesn't hold a candle to other recent puzzles, both cheaper and more expensive.All in all, one to avoid.

Out of the 6 cubes I have gotten, this is for sure the BEST one out of them all. I usually average 35-40 seconds on a 3x3, and it feels so good to turn. I have had it for around one hour, and I have already gotten a 25 second solve on it. If you are going to get a speed cube, this is the one to get!
